Murray Carlyle Tucker Inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame: 1999
Mitchell, Ontario native Murray Tucker has served the professional golf industry since 1948 when he became professional at the Sunningdale Golf and Country Club, in London, Ontario. Although more than proficient at the game, winning many titles throughout his career, Murray's legacy to the game has been his work toward assisting his profession. Writing many of the original manuals and policies, he was particularly responsible for introducing a pension plan for Canadian professionals. Murray was also the first Canadian to earn the degree of 'Master Professional'.
